Annie Wu

concert flutist

Thanks for visiting my site! I've had a lot of fun making this platform to share my music, my performances, and my media. I love music and playing the flute, but one of my favorite parts about being a musician is being able to meet all sorts of people and to share with you. Feel free to subscribe or follow any of my social media pages for the latest updates too!

On my Bio tab, you will find a more formal introduction to my flute career, but I'll give you a few more friendly facts here:

I adore teaching, not only because of my love for the flute, but because teaching is about connecting and striving together. I have had the great fortune of amazing teachers who have shaped my life, and it is surreal to think I might do the same for others. (Send a note to me through my Contact page if you want to set up a trial lesson!). Otherwise, I currently enjoy boxing, painting, taking wandering walks in my neighborhood in NYC, and reading, and someday I would like to start a small garden and have a dog.

On a more serious note, I love classical music, and it has certainly shaped who I am today. Looking ahead, I hope to find threads between music and other art forms as a way to expand expression to new audiences. Thanks for visiting, and I hope to see you at an upcoming show!

Graduation Recital

I'm graduating! Come here some of my favorite selections with friends.

debut recital

A program titled "Folk x Fantasy x Flute" featuring a newly commissioned work

Kevin Puts' Flute Concerto in two concerts with the California Symphony and conductor Donato Cabrera.

Last year, I put out my first album. It's filled with a heart wrenching story, a worthy heroine, and new arrangements of vocal works for the flute.
